As an ice breaker I explained to the class (mostly 10 year olds) that when I was a lad, dinosaurs roamed the earth and there were no computers or even calculators.<br /><br />The class wondered how we did sums (which I wanted them to ask) so I pulled out my Faber Castell slide rule and showed them.<br />Finally I gave them all a slide rule each made of card, the design of which I had found on the internet somewhere.<br /><br />It gives you a real buzz when a class thinks you've just taught them something cool! <br /><br />Sad though that this marvellous device is just not needed much anymore.<br /><br /><br />72/3<br />Tony G4WIFTonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02080646762363740162noreply@blogger.com
